Book Drive!

Our Wood Acres community supports our sister elementary schools, New Hampshire Estates (Pre-K through 2nd) and Oak View (3rd through 5th).  We continue to share our love of learning through the Wood Acres Annual Used Book Drive!  We will be accepting ALL books and media in order to help parents and students in DC as well.

Do What Again?  DONATE ALL BOOKS, CDs, and DVDs (not just children's books)!  

Children’s books will be packed up and delivered to the waiting hands of Erin Taylor, volunteer book sale organizer of the NHE/OV PTA (https://nheovpta.com/) on Saturday, April 6h. That Saturday, the NHE/OV PTA and volunteers sort and categorize in preparation their schools' book sale the following week. Their students get the opportunity to get free books, as well as to buy books of their own at nominal prices!

All other books and media will head to Turning the Page (TTP), a nonprofit dedicated to engaging parents of D.C. public school students to become more active and effective participants in their children’s education. TTP collects and then sells to the public gently used books, CDs, and DVDs to raise funds for its programs. Visit www.turningthepage.org to learn more about TTP programs.
