Our 3rd discussion on Race & Equity: Speak Up! is April 18th

All parents in the Wood Acres ES whitman Cluster are invited to the third Race and Equity Discussion, April 18th from 7pm - 8:30pm in the Media Center at Wood Acres Elementary. At this session, we will discuss the importance of speaking up about racial injustice and microaggressions. To follow up on our previous work on implicit bias, you will learn about a protocol to use and teach your children when speaking up to address everyday stereotypes and biases. Attendance at either of the first two discussion meetings is not required, and we invite and encourage all members of the Whitman cluster community to attend.

Childcare will be provided by Bar-T for elementary-aged students. Please email Kim Bishop to secure a spot for your child(ren).
