The WAES Shoe Drive is back!

Get ready to donate your NEW AND VERY GENTLY USED SHOES to our sister schools New Hampshire Estate & Oak View Elementary Schools in Silver Spring, MD.

When and where can you donate shoes?

Look for our shoe collection boxes:

(1) At JogFest bib pick-up:

Friday May 6th, during the JogFest race bib pick up, from about 3:00-5:30 pm

(2) At the school:

During morning drop-off from Monday, May 9th through Friday, May 13th.

What kind of shoes can you donate?

Shoes for children and adults!

We hope to receive all kinds of shoes: Sneakers, sandals, dress shoes, business shoes, casual shoes, soccer cleats, high heels and even heavy winter boots! No flip-flops, though.

In what condition must they be?

The shoes must be clean and in a condition in which you would gladly accept them for your own use: gently worn shoes that your child outgrew, that don't fit you well or that are not to your liking. Clean means: wiped-down sole and upper with no dirt evident.

Please don’t bring shoes with holes or cracks, obvious stains, or that are past their useful life.
