Each year, generous Wood Acres families make the holidays extra special for kids in our county through our Holiday Gift Drive. This year's signup is open!

Recommended amount is $40-50 for each child. Families are from Wood Acres, Montgomery Knolls, and New Hampshire Estates Elementary Schools. 

Gifts can be dropped off at Victoria Scott's house (front porch) or shipped directly by Amazon. Please contact Victoria at victoriakelly1@gmail.com for address.

IMPORTANT: Please include the Child ID# with the gift. If you ship from Amazon, please INCLUDE THE CHILD ID# IN THE GIFT NOTE.

Please note: We have more than 100 kids in need of gifts this year. We are adding many more names this week as they come in!

We aim to also give grocery store gift cards to each family. Giant is best for these gift cards (closest to all the schools). 

If signups are temporarily full, Amazon gift cards are great! Drop off or send to Victoria Scott -- no Child ID needed. 

How are we connected to these other schools?
We partner with Linkages to Learning, an MCPS community-school partnership with an integrated
focus on health, social services, and community development. Wood Acres has long considered these schools our “sister schools.” More
than 85% qualify for free or reduced-price lunches.

May I spend more than the guideline?

Any excess contribution will go to a needy child, but it may not go to the
needy child you’ve “adopted” through the signup. The caseworkers and counselors who
distribute the gifts ensure the children are treated equitably.

The child didn't wish for a toy. Won’t s/he be sad to not receive a toy?
Some of the families benefiting from our gift drive will also be eligible for Toys for Tots, so they ask for other gifts through our gift drive.

When, where and how should I deliver gifts?
Gifts should not be wrapped. Please label your gift with the Child ID# from the signup
and include a gift receipt, if possible. Recipient names are concealed for privacy. Drop off gifts at 5308 Briley Pl, Bethesda, MD 20816. Gifts can also be mailed directly
but be sure to include a Child ID# in the gift note of any items mailed.
