Welcome

We need you! Wood Acres relies on parents to support paid staff personnel during every lunch and recess shift. This is particularly true on rainy and snowy days. 

If you can help at lunch/recess with supervising the children, please sign up using this online form. We encourage parents to sign up for a regular shift, be it once a month or once a week. If you cannot make a regular commitment we welcome last minute volunteers.  Email  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Parents are not expected to volunteer on "no recess" days.

The time frame is one hour for the volunteer shift, though it is possible to volunteer only for lunch or recess. If your child has lunch first, please report to the cafeteria. If your child has recess first, please report to a staff member outside the cafeteria doors on the upper level to find out where to stand.  Please complete one form for each child you have at Wood Acres.  

About the Lunch-Recess Schedule

Click the link below to find the two-month schedule of volunteer shifts - if you can assist at the last minute, or if you need to reschedule, please make the change directly on the schedule. There is no need to contact the coordinator. If you need to cancel, please post on Woodnet for a replacement or to switch with someone else. The schedule of volunteers and shifts will be posted for two month time periods beginning in the Fall after sign-up is completed.

Note: If you have trouble with the scheduling software, it is best to first refresh (ie: In Internet Explorer, right click and click on refresh. In Firefox and Safari, right click and click reload), then click on the link to the schedule below. Always double check to make sure your scheduling has registered.
